kingisland.com.au is an independent visitor guide. It is not King Island Council or King Island Tourism. This notice describes this site only.

What we collect

Contact form. Name, email, topic and message, plus technical metadata FormSubmit may attach. The form includes a honeypot field to discourage bots. We use that information to reply about corrections, sources or guest pitches.

Server and hosting logs. Our host may log IP addresses and user agents for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to build a marketing profile.

Cookies and affiliates. We do not run a first-party advertising pixel from this codebase. Planning pages (home, Getting here, Visit) can load GetYourGuide Partner Analytics from widget.getyourguide.com and may include an availability widget that talks to GetYourGuide (widget.getyourguide.com, collector.getyourguide.com, cdn.getyourguide.com). Those scripts and any cookies they set are GetYourGuide’s, not a profile we build.

Sponsored GetYourGuide links. If you book through a labelled GetYourGuide link or widget, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Every commercial block states that the experiences operate from Hobart / mainland Tasmania, not on King Island. There is no King Island GetYourGuide inventory on this site, and golf / on-island activities stay first-party. Read GetYourGuide’s privacy policy for their processing.

FormSubmit

The contact form uses FormSubmit. Their processing is subject to their own terms and privacy documentation. Do not send passports, payment card numbers or health records through the form.

Access and corrections

Email via Contact if you want a message you sent to be deleted from our inbox. We will do what the inbox and FormSubmit retention allow.

Changes

If this notice changes in a material way, we will update the date on this page.

Children

This is a general visitor guide. We do not knowingly collect children’s data. Do not use the form to send information about a minor beyond a general travel question.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Their logs and DDoS tools are theirs. We do not sell those logs.
